L’idea del collettivo meridiem nasce all’inizio del 2011 dall’incontro di sei traduttrici letterarie nell’ambito del programma "La Fabrique des traducteurs", che si è svolto presso il Collège International des Traducteurs Littéraires di Arles. 

Il collettivo è composto da traduttrici professioniste nelle combinazioni italiano-francese e francese-italiano; tutte hanno avuto una formazione letteraria e lavorato nel settore editoriale come assistenti di redazione, lettrici e/o correttrici di bozze. 

Condividendo la stessa esigenza di qualità, Françoise Antoine, Laura Brignon, Serena Cacchioli, Camilla Diez, Sophie Royère e Ornella Tajani hanno deciso di unire le loro forze e le loro singolarità e di creare meridiem

Il collettivo ha visto nell’approccio collaborativo la configurazione ideale del mestiere di traduttore e l’ha adottato come modalità di lavoro. Nell’autunno 2012, dopo aver collaudato il proprio metodo per più di un anno, il collettivo meridiem si costituisce ufficialmente.

 

Serena Cacchioli

Serena Cacchioli (1986), dottoranda in Letterature Comparate all’Università di Lisbona, laureata alla Scuola per Interpreti e Traduttori di Trieste e specializzata in Traduzione Letteraria e Saggistica presso l’Università di Pisa, ha insegnato italiano in Francia, ha lavorato per il gruppo editoriale Mauri Spagnol scrivendo schede di lettura di libri in portoghese e francese, ha collaborato con la casa editrice Assírio e Alvim di Lisbona e si è spesso occupata di interpretariato e traduzione. Le sue lingue di lavoro sono portoghese e francese. Ha tradotto Perché la poesia ha questo compito sublime. Antonia Pozzi. Laura Brignon

Laura Brignon (1986) vive a Toulouse. Dopo una formazione universitaria in Lettere con specializzazione in lingua e letteratura italiana ha scelto di concentrarsi sulla traduzione con un master in cotutela tra Francia e Italia, durante il quale ha vissuto a Genova per alcuni mesi. È attualmente dottoranda in Letteratura Italiana all'Università di Toulouse II. Ha tradotto, tra le altre cose, Viaggio in Etiopia e altri scritti africani di Curzio Malaparte (Arléa, 2012) e Per il bene di tutti di Francesco Randazzo (Presses Universitaires du Mirail, 2009), Les Atrocités des Pirates  di Aaron Smith (Anacharsis, 2014), cotradotto dall'inglese con Frantz Olivié, Riportando tutto a casa di Nicola Lagioia (Arléa, 2014), Bacchiglione blues di Matteo Righetto (La dernière goutte, 2015), L'anatomista di Diana Lama (L'Archipel, 2015), Le parole sono pietre di Carlo Levi (Nous, 2015), I discepoli del fuoco di Alfredo Colitto (L'Archipel, 2016), Come divenni brigante di Carmine Crocco (Anacharsis, 2016) et Neve, cane, piede di Claudio Morandini (Anacharsis, 2017). Sophie Royère

Sophie Royère (1982) ha seguito un percorso di studi letterari alle Università di Bordeaux, Pisa, Chambéry e Avignon. Ha tradotto, fra le altre cose, i Racconti dimenticati di Elsa Morante (Verdier, 2009), Il senso dell’elefante (Payot & Rivages, 2012) e Atti osceni in luogo privato (Payot & Rivages, 2015) di Marco Missiroli, Oriana. Una donna, di Cristina de Stefano (Albin Michel, 2015), Il demonio in Vaticano di  Franca Giansoldati (Albin Michel, 2015), La notte alle mie spalle di Giampaolo Simi (Sonatines, 2015), due libri per ragazzi (Naïve Edition). È traduttrice della compagnia di performers italiani Ricci/Forte (per: la Ménagerie de Verre, Théâtre di Vanves, Lieu Unique a Nantes, Festival Actoral a Marsiglia, etc.) e collabora con il regista Eugenio de' Giorgi. Fa parte dei comitati di lettura delle case editrici Albin Michel e Payot & Rivages. Ha frequentato l'Ecole d'Art Dramatique Sylvia Roche a Marsiglia, dal 2009 al 2011.

 

Ornella Tajani

Ornella Tajani (1985) è dottore di ricerca in Letterature Comparate e docente di Lingua e Traduzione francese per eCampus. Ha curato la pièce L’aquila a due teste di Jean Cocteau (Marchese, 2011, premio di traduzione Monselice “Leone Traverso” 2012), il romanzo Tiresia di Marcel Jouhandeau (Marchese, 2013) e alcune poesie di Martine Broda per la «Revue Italienne d’Études Françaises». Ha tradotto anche La domestica di Nathalie Kuperman (Codice, 2014). Al momento traduce l'opera in versi di Arthur Rimbaud per Marsilio editore, per la quale ha ottenuto una borsa del Centre National du Livre di Parigi. È redattrice di Nazione Indiana, ha pubblicato articoli e recensioni su Alfabeta, L'Indice, Between e Status Quaestionis ed è una dei coordinatori dell'Opificio di letteratura reale dell'Università Federico II di Napoli.

Camilla Diez

Camilla Diez è nata a Roma nel 1980. Dopo la laurea in Lingue e Letterature straniere presso l’Università “La Sapienza” di Roma e dopo varie collaborazioni con case editrici, nel 2007 prosegue gli studi in traduzione letteraria a Parigi. Françoise Antoine (1976) vive a Bruxelles.
